This video introduces the book "Hong Kong Street Markets: Urban Context in Everyday Architecture (1842-1981)". The author, Xu Songwen, uses a wide range of historical and architectural materials to sort out the development of street markets in Hong Kong during British rule and to sort out the social changes behind it.
